This piece was shaped around a stone that already felt like a world of its own. The labradorite holds an extraordinary spectrum—gold, green, and violet drifting through it like shifting light at dusk. I didn’t want to overpower it, only to build a setting that felt as though it had grown alongside it.
The butterfly rests at the base, not as decoration but as a quiet beginning—its wings open, almost lifting the entire composition upward. Around the stone, I sculpted flowers and leaves in a flowing, asymmetrical rhythm, allowing the piece to feel alive rather than arranged. The deep blue accent stones bring a subtle contrast, like fragments of twilight tucked into the form.
There’s a strong sense of movement here despite its size—the light in the stone changes constantly, and the textures catch shadow differently from every angle. It’s bold, but not heavy in feeling—more like something luminous that carries its own atmosphere.
